Photosynthesis

Plants use inputs to grow and perform the process of photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis is a series of chemical reactions that convert water and carbon dioxide into sugar and oxygen with energy from light.

Those inputs are chemical compounds. The simple equation for photosynthesis:
water + carbon dioxide →sunlight→ sugar + oxygen
6H2O + 6CO2 →Sunlight→ C6H12O6 + 6O2
